Self-reliant Learners in Higher Education: Perspectives and Insights

The prime objective of this study was to explore the level adopted self-regulated learning (SRL) strategies students studying at higher education. A qualitative research approach collect data from one public sector university. convenient sampling sixty participants in various undergraduate programs. semi-structured interview protocol developed based on three key components learning. All interviews were recorded verbatim for analysis. Content analysis performed analyze data. Sub-categories phases SRL model considered as unit Findings inferring view each phase suggested that learners education very weak. As forethought, do not set goals, plan and their tasks. performance phase, mostly reported working styles. They report certain perform tasks which collaborative. did particularly mention about self-control self-observations relation Lastly, self-reflection no particular finding identified depend teacher receive feedback hardly judge react accordingly.
